What is the aPivot API platform?
aPivot is an API integration platform that allows you to easily interact with enterprise API applications. Access to our platform is through a downloadable VMWare image, hardware appliance or a raspberry PI image. The platform has a powerful engine that we call Magic which interacts with the Epicor Rest API. Once licensed, modules are activated and can be called from our ProAct front end to perform transactions from any device with a web browser.
ProAct’s suite of modules have been developed to work specifically with the Epicor ERP E10 & Kinetic product.

How are modules licensed?
All modules use concurrent user licenses, very similar to Epicor’s licensing structure. Concurrent user licenses are sold by module.
Maintenance and support:
Each modules requires yearly maintenance and support, very similar to Epicor’s maintenance and support structure.
Maintenance covers any and all enhancements or fixes related to the modules you are licensed for.
Support includes coverage between the hours of Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. If support is outside of business hours additional charges may apply.
How does Magic & ProAct handle data?
The product doesn’t store or keep any transactional data. The platform passes information from the client device to/from the Epicor server. Credentials are passed using tokens that are provided by the channel the user logs into. Example: Epicor application server will provide a token for the specific user account used to login. Epicor users use their current Epicor username and password.
